Maybe you could follow up on this source --- Pat Edwards -MaidinMe@aol.com : E-mails received October 2004 regarding Nathan and Elisha Hayden. My family comes from Madison, ME and I have a History of Madison by E. F. Clark which had been my father's. Madison was not incorporated as a town until 1804. I am sorry to report that in August of 1889, all the town records were lost in a fire and it is unlikely you will be able to find any court documents. I'm MOST interested in any documentation on their daughter Edith, that ties Edith to them. And, then I have nothing on Lydia's parents, so that would be helpful too.
