Hi Geoff, John Foley and Mary Cavanaugh had a daughter, Mary. She was baptized in a RC church in Vinegar Hill which was an area next to the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Mary Cavanaugh was my great-aunt. Baptised: October 23, 1864, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Brooklyn Sponsors: Patrick Hayden, Margaret Kavanagh Margaret Kavanagh was my great-grandmother. She did not marry Patrick Hayden. His name does not reoccur in any of my family records. There were two RC churches in the area, St. Ann's and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Hope this helps, Mary Ann
