Another possible spelling is HEATON; I had an early 19th century ancestor whose name changed from HEATON to HAYDEN during his lifetime, which made it quite difficult to trace his origins. There also may be other permutations. At 9:45 AM -0800 12/22/10, Muriel ann Gutierrez wrote: >Thanks for responding to my quest. I will look into different spellings. It just >might be. I did a quick look at ancestry.com and struck out. BUT.... it was just a quick look. However, you seem to have lots to go on, perhaps more than you realize, especially if you have the names and some birth info of some or all 11 half sibs. If you can't get in the front door then look for an open window. :) In other words try searching for the others in the records and see what turns up. Think outside the box on the approach and try any odd angle you can dream up. Lastly, consider a researcher if you are really really interested in finding Henry. (I do know of one but not sure what he charges or if he could help at all in this situation). Hello, My grandfather, Sherwood Hayden had a brother who moved and lived in California. I recall my grandparents talking about him but I don't remember his name--perhaps I never knew it. Good luck in your search. Dennis B Hayden On 22 December 2010 09:45, <hayden-request@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. HARRY HAYDEN (Muriel ann Gutierrez) > 2. The only information I have for him is he was the father of my sis in law and she looked all her life for him. The info she gave me was he lived in Orange County, CA and worked for the railroad. She was born in 1916, so I would want to know about 1915 on to start. I can find no record of hers that has anything about him but this was her father, she was very adamant about who he was..I have seen her with a different surname and I don't know why that was.. She has passed away but I would like to find him for her children. I think the railroad could be the biggest clue. I don't know anything else about him other than this. I hope someone can help me or give me an idea as to how to find him. Her mother gave her the name of Mabel Arispe. She was not an Arispe for sure. That was her 1/2 brother. She was born in San Diego County I think, she lived there all her life.. Hey that is really something I must look into. She was the oldest of all the children. Eleven survived and all half siblings, she was the only HAYDEN. She told me to look in Orange County, that he was there. I remember the mother mentioning San Luis Obispo a lot but don't know if that would be it or not. A lot of the Comadre's came from there so the family would visit, they never took me with them.I remember when they came to visit the mother would make me sit quietly in the living room until they left. I was not allowed to talk. I met my husband when we were both 14. So their ways was new to me. I loved Mabel very much and was honored to know her and her daughter. Both are now gone. Thanks for the interest. I would love to find him. ________________________________ From: Ernie Jones <ernie_jones@comcast.net> To: hayden@rootsweb.com Sent: Wed, December 22, 2010 7:53:58 AM Subject: Re: [HAYDEN] HARRY HAYDEN It would help to know her name/s as well. Thanks... One more thought. Often times Henry was called Harry so that may be a clue. I have traced him back on ancestry and discovered he descends from George who was born IOW abt 1814. More importantly there are 2 researchers with him in their tree. SallyAnn92 Ryde, Isle of Wight, England I have been researching my family history since 1982, first with memories from my Dad, now deceased, and from my Mum, still alive. I have been able to source original materials from ancestors on the Isle of Wight, and used various websites such as Ancestry, and FreeBMD for census, birth, marriage and death is one She does not go as far as Cyril though, although she has his ancestors.David_Neve Contact David_NeveAgain, just the same Haydens. Have you looked at the 1911, or at phone books?I can't find him in military records or in BMD. Is it possible he used his other names? He is not in my Hayden tree from the south of England.Good Luck,Lorna --- On Tue, 25/8/09, hayden-request@rootsweb.com <hayden-request@rootsweb.com> wrote: From: hayden-request@rootsweb.com <hayden-request@rootsweb.com> Subject: HAYDEN Digest, Vol 4, Issue 10 To: hayden@rootsweb.com Date: Tuesday, 25 August, 2009, 8:00 AM Today's Topics: 1. Hi, I am looking for any relatives of Cyril Frederick John Hayden (1898-1976). Cyril was born in Hammersmith, London and died in Battle, East Sussex. Kind regards, Stuart
For the last 20 years I have been trying to locate my HAYDEN/HEADON family in Tipperary. I had been given a copy of and old letter that said they lived at ‘Singleton’, but had found this place did not exist. I recently decided to see if it had been a transcription I had and if the original was still available. I was delighted to finally receive a photocopy and found that the place mentioned was ‘Singinstown’. Again I drew a blank when trying google until another researcher suggested that it was most likely St Johnstown. Names of interest are: Eliza and Rachael HAYDEN who married two RAWLINS brothers Eliza’s son William RAWLINS lived at Knockbritt House and Rachael.s son Edward went to Australia and died there in 1858 Margaret HAYDEN marr ? GABRIEL from Limerick Hannah HAYDEN marr ? NICHOLSON George Thomas HAYDEN the famous doctor in Dublin who died in 1857 If anyone has any connection with these people or has information about researching St Johnstown I would appreciate a reply. Thanks Margaret Parkes

Thanks Margaret Parkes That was a smart guess by your friend, Yes, in Ireland St. John in a name is always pronounced Singin. It's in North Tipperary.. Just google in St. Johnstown Co. Tipperary and you'll get information. I see an Edward Rawlins selling his estate in the Encumbered Estates Court in the 1850's so there should be no trouble in finding out more about the family ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to HAYDEN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Internal Virus Database is out of date. Steve, I am a Hayden. That is what I was born. And my Haydens are from Alden and Harvard in McHenryCounty. My great-great grandfather is Michael Hayden born January 04, 1840 in Drangan Tipperary, Ireland, married to Ann Laughlin and died June 26, 1917 in Harvard, IL. His parents are John Hayden and Catherine Hall both of Drangan Tipperary. Does any of that sound familiar to you?
