I'm looking for information on my great grandfather, Ira Hayden's, family.
I am looking for information on the parentage of Marilda Hayden Vannatter. She was born in 1853 in Indiana, and her death record in Delaware County, IN records her father as Samuel Hayden. There is a Samuel Hayden buried in our family cemetery at Wheeling who died in 1860 at the age of 81, but I suspect this is her grandfather. Any information would be appreciated. Regards, Matthew Shaw ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
Hi all, Nancy reached a good ago, a lot of Haydens went past 80 compared with many others. My Mother got to 93, her father 81. Jonathan Hayden 1774-1847 is, I believe, the older brother of my John Hayden 1786, PA, died 1860-62, Hillsboro, Vernon Co WI and his second wife, Nancy Todd 1803 PA - after 1883, probably MN. Click on that title to go to the page. It is quite large so if you have a slower connection it might take a while to download. It was pretty quick on my RoadRunner cable connection. I thought I would throw this out because I would like to find more information And the fact that this family married into the Farris family gave me some Incentives. I gather that Anthony Haden was born c1695 and had emigrated to America by 1720. Anthony HADEN and "Lady" Margaret DOUGLAS as my descent is through one of their daughters Ruth HADEN who married Jacob FERRIS. They had a daughter Jane FERRIS who married Joseph ANTHONY in 1777. That is my line. What information does anyone have on the ancestors of Anthony HADEN and "Lady" Margaret DOUGLAS
