Looking for others researching : Ezra Hawkins 1797 1853 married Betsy Morris Duty Hawkins 1835-1911 married Sarah Ann Bishop Edith Hawkins 1872-1941 married Edwin Elijah Bliss Their general area was Cattaraugus Co NY -- I am trying to prove a connection to Uriah Hawkins 1731-1809 whose daughter Dorcas Hawkins 1773-1858 married John Bishop and resided in the same area. Dorcas had a brother named Duty Hawkins also but nothing found on him. I believe, but cannot prove, that Ezra Hawkins is somehow a grandchild of Uriah Hawkins through one of his several sons. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Flossie A. STEWART which was taken at the Chickering Studio in Boston, MA. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Flossie listed as 13 months + 6 days old at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Flossie and her family: Florence Anna STEWART was b. 6 Jan 1882 in East Boston, MA and married Thomas Henry HAWKINS (b. 24 Dec 1885 in Hamilton, Wentworth Co, Ontario, Canada) about 1906. The couple had 4 children including Thomas Henry HAWKINS Jr. b. 17 Aug 1913 in Medford, MA. Florence died 25 Jul 1975 in Braintree, MA. I am hoping to locate someone from Flossie's family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family. I've "rescued" three old photographs belonging to the HAWKINS Family of Missouri. The first is a photograph of Reuben HAWKINS which was taken at the Dunlap Studio in Chillicothe, MO. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Reuben appearing to be in his 40's or 50's at the time it was taken. In addition to his name, someone has written "Jennie's Uncle" on the back of the photograph. The second photograph is of Ethie HAWKINS and was taken at the same studio in Chillicothe, MO, likely at the same time in the 1880's with Ethie likely in her 30's or 40's at the time. In addition to her name, someone has written "Uncle Reuben's wife" on the back of the photograph. The third photograph is identified as including Jennie HAWKINS and was taken at the Genelli Studio in St. Louis, MO. There are three girls in the photograph with Jennie indicated as the girl on the left. This third photograph was likely taken in the 1890's with all three young ladies likely in their teens at the time. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding the family: Reuben HAWKINS b. 1834 in Franklin Co. IN to parents David HAWKINS (b. 17 May 1805) and Margaret J. ALLEY (b. 6 Jan 1811 in Russell Co, VA). Reuben was the oldest of the couple's 8 children including, Reuben; Jasper; Samuel; Nathan; John; Zerelda; William W.; and Elvira Ann HAWKINS all born between 1834 and 1851 in IN and MO. Reuben HAWKINS married Nancy Ethaline HICKLIN (b. 25 Dec 1845 in Livingston Co. MO) on 1 Mar 1866. Census records provide the following: 1870 census of Chillicothe, MO: Reuben HAWKINS, age 37, a Life Insurance Agent, born IN Nancy E.
