Annie Hill was born in Arlington, GA and was a life long resident of Albany, GA, until she moved to Niceville, FL in 2006. In June 1939, she met and was married for 25 years to her late husband, W. Lloyd Hatcher, former owner of the Nehi Bottling Company. Annie Hill was a founding member of the Albany Garden Club as well as the Dawson Road Garden Club. She enjoyed 45 years as a local florist and was invited to judge many floral shows all over the United States. Annie Hill attended First Baptist Church of Albany where she was a dedicated member for 65 years. Annie Hill is survived by 4 nephews, Juston W. Grant, Jr. and his wife Kathy E. Grant, Ben D. Grant, Robert R. Grant and his wife Melba Grant and Richard L. Grant, 1 Niece, Marium Grant Williams and her husband Jerry Williams, 8 great nephews and nieces and 11 great-great nephews and nieces. Annie Hill Hatcher was preceded in death by her parents, Ben Hill Grant and Emma Earl Witt, 2 brothers, Juston Witt Grant and Richard L. Grant, her aunt, Neva Y. Witt, who helped with her rearing after her mother's untimely death, 1 niece, Jean Grant and 1 nephew, Richard Dudley Grant. A viewing was held at Twin Cities Funeral Home in Niceville Florida. Graveside services were held at Sunset Cemetery in Valparaiso, Florida. Mrs. An Hill Hatcher was laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to The Manor at Bluewater Bay and to all of those that cared for her especially to Eileen, Luann, Tasha, Scott, Keith, Sigrid and Lucille. A special thanks to one particular nurse, her great niece, Jamilee Randolph, who also cared for and watc over her at The Manor.
