Hatcher Retired John Douglas Hatcher, 88, of Blakely died Thursday, May 10, 2007, at Early Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hatcher was born in Early County Jan. 1, 1919, to the late John D. Hatcher and Katie Warren Hatcher. He was a member of Hentown Church of Christ and a retired farmer and Early County Road Department employee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Allen Hatcher. Suvivors include, four daughters, Phyllis Hodges, Mary Ellen Hatcher and Carolyn Pratt, all of Blakely, and Sheila Elizabeth Best of Pine Mountain; two sisters, Rozetta Gordon of Panama City and Beatrice Dowdney of Norman Park; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday, May 12, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Hentown Church of Christ with Rob Argersinger officiating. Interment followed at Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stanley Houston, Milton Johnson, Jerry Creel, Ted Warren, Stacy Gordon and Scott Warren. Manry-Jordan-Hodges was in charge of arrangemnents.
