I'm wondering if anyone has tried the Richard/Elizabeth Hatcher branch that moved to Illinois for DAR? I'm working on a DAR application through Richard/Elizabeth's great-granddaughter who married a Mathis. I'd be interesting in trying to research and prove that Hatcher branch ,if there is one.............. after the holidays. Time really does fly! HATCHER website: http://hatcherfamilyassn.com HALL DNA project: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~nhatcher/hall/HDNAtest.htm "If you can't stand the skeletons, stay out of the closet" - Val D Greenwood Kay, Richard/Elizabeth of MorganCo, IL are my husband's line, Richard being his ggggfather. Richard's father was Ward, bn c1771 (too young to serve) and his gfather was another Richard bn c1730 (older than would be expected and no document found to indicate he ever served or contributed in any way). This line has been well researched and proven. You can find this family on our site. Nel
