Shirley, My Hatcher family is in the Dorset/Quaker line proven through my DNA testing. My great great grandfather was William Zane Hatcher born 1825 in Philly. His father was John born in NJ. Old family notes say that we are related to the Zane family somehow and I do have a photo from WZ's own family photo album circa mid to late 1800's showing a Nancy Ann Zane. I'm hoping some of these non-Hatcher names will prove to be a link to placing my family with the rest of the Philly/Bucks Co/Burlington Co Hatchers. I also remember coming across the name Rakestraw somewhere within my 10 years of family research but can not find anything in my notes so far. Bob, I'm still looking at Rakestraws. Found a William R. Rakestraw about?1830 or so but no William Zane. I was wondering if you know what your 3rd great grandfather's wife's name was? There are lots of John Hatchers but haven't found one that fits. If I find anything, I'll let you know.
