Know ye that for good causes for & in consideration of the composition for my use paid and for the annual rent hereafter reserved, I have given granted and confirmed, And by these presents for me my heirs and assigns Do give and grant and confirm to William Hatcher of Pennsylvania a certain tract of waste land in the county of Fairfax, And bounded according to a Survey thereof made by Amos Janney as in followeth. Beginning at a Spanish and white oak Saplin being the So West corner of Abel Janney's survey & extending thence West One hundred and eighty poles to a small black oak in a Line of Thomas Janney's second Survey, thence South Two hundred and Seventy poles to five small black oaks near the head of a Drein, thence East one hundred and eighty poles to two small black oaks corner to Jacob Janney Blacksmith, thence North Two hundred and Seventy poles to the first station Containing three hundred acres, Together with all rights members & appurtenances thereunto belonging. To have and to hold these Three Hundred acres of Land Together with all rights, profits and benefits to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining, Except before Ezcepted, To him the sd William Hatcher his heirs and assigns forever; He the sd William Hatcher, his heirs, and assigns therefore Yielding and Paying to me my heirs or assigns or to my certain attorney or Attorney's Agent or Agents or to the certain Attorney or Attorneys of my heirs and assigns Proprietors of the sd northern neck yearly and every year on the first day of St. Michael the Archangel the fee rent of one shilling sterling money for every fifty acres of land hereby granted and to proportionably for a greater or lesser quantity. Provided that if he the sd William Hatcher his heirs or assigns shall not pay the before reserved annual rent so that the same or any part thereof shall be behind or unpaid by the Space of two whole years after the same shall become due if Lawfully demanded.
