It looks to me like he owned a small amt of land, got married and shortly after, sold his land. Did he and others move to NJ? Looking at his kids' dates, there are several gaps. Did he have another son or two who lived/died in NJ before Wm's 1781 will? Perhaps the father(s) of all those stray NJ Hatchers? And Ed has returned from his NJ research trip and will send me his finds tomorrow or next.
