Wills: Abstracts, Book D : 1714 - 1725/6: Philadelphia Co, PA RAKESTRAW, WILLIAM. Philadelphia. Malster. December 29, 1718. February 2, 1718. D. 113. Wife Elizabeth. Children: John, Grace (ZANE), Elizabeth, Sarah, Ann, Mary, William and Thomas. Grand-son Joseph Rakestraw. Son-in-law Nathaniel Zane. Executors: William and Thomas. Trustees: William Hudson, William Tidmarsh and Thomas Chalkley. Witnesses: Tobias Nilee, William Hatcher and John Cadwalader. Grace Rakestraw md Nathaniel Zane. We now find an Albert Zane in NJ connected to a Rachel Hatcher. And Pennsy Bob has Wm Zane Hatcher as his ancestor. If the above Thomas Rakestraw is your guy, we now have another connection to NJ thru Abe Haines and even more reason to believe that the witness to Rakestraw's will is our Wm/Ann VS. If you could send me the family info on the Rakestraw/Haines line in the 1700-1800 timeframe, I would much appreciate it. I'm also pretty sure I've seen refs to the Bortons in NJ. Yes, this HAS been an enjoyable and also very productive discussion. I'm convinced we're going to solve this sooner or later....hopefully sooner :-) Nel ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to HATCHER-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
