HATCHER website: http://hatcherfamilyassn.com HALL DNA project: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~nhatcher/hall/HDNAtest.htm "If you can't stand the skeletons, stay out of the closet" - Val D Greenwood Folks, I believe I can prove that Richard Thatcher was not a Hatcher. Here is what I've found......... 1681 - Holmes' map showing land of Richard Thatcher near Dilworth and Paxton. Richard Thatcher was one of the original settlers in 1681-82 of Penn's project. 1689 - Richard Hatcher/Thatcher living in BucksCo near Dilworth and Hayworth. This is the same ref sent by Ray that listed Richard as Hatcher. That's an error and should be Thatcher. 1697 - Richard Thatcher's will probated, sons Bartholomew, Amos, Joseph, 2 daus in care of Wm & Henry Paxton. Witnesses to will were Tom Stackhouse and Israel Taylor who can also be found as neighbors on the original 1681 map. So Richard never moved from his original location near Dilsworth and Paxton and his sons are ID'd in his will. Nel
As I recall, there was some DNA evidence also. Did the DNA evidence break the link from this same Richard Thatcher and the Quaker Hatcher line? ----- Original Message ----- From: nelhatch Folks, I believe I can prove that Richard Thatcher was not a Hatcher.
