She was married in 1943 to Gordon and, together, they lived in Winnipeg and Edmonton and, upon retirement, in Penticton. Gordon predeceased her in November 2005. She is survived by her sisters, Edna Warwick, Mavis McDowell, daughter Marcia (Bob Pieper) of Westbank, sons Ross (Sandy) and Neil (Sherry), all of Edmonton, grandchildren Heather (Carey) Chute, Duff McLeod and Garth (Michelle) Pieper, Brittany Hatcher and Curtis Hatcher as well as great-grandchildren, Matthew, Hannah, Nathan and Tristan. A memorial service and interment ceremony for Gordon and Edith will be held in Winnipeg on September 27.
