I'm trying to locate anyone who is related to my father. He was born in Orrville, Alabama (Dallas County) in Feb. 1923. His given name was L C Hatcher. His father's name was Ben Hatcher and his mother's name was Lizzie Johnson. According to his birth certificate, both of them were born in Orrville too. To my knowledge they were married. My father was a twin, but the twin died very young. I believe there were a total of 11 children and all are deceased except my father and his baby sister Willie Mae (her father was a Hatcher also, but a different one than my father). Their oldest sister's name was Mary Hatcher who passed away some years ago. For many years it was only the three of them. My Aunt Mary raised my Aunt Willie Mae and my father in Kentucky (Middlesboro). They have one cousin who's name is Ora D who lives in Columbus OH I believe. She's 83. It's not much to go on, but I'm praying for a miracle. Please don't refer me to ancestry.com. I've been there. Unless you have some names to work with, it's really hard to find living relatives. And it sounds like your dad was removed from his place of birth fairly young. I don't have any experience looking for the living so have only one idea. That would be to see if there are any Hatchers still living in the Orrville area (using a White Pages search) and just start calling with your fingers crossed. Anyone else have any suggestions? Nel
