Mr. HATCHER was born in St. Louis and lived in Ferguson, Mo., before he moved to Kansas City in 1965. He was editor of The Town Talk, a newspaper in Ferguson, until the late 1950s. He was an honorary life member of Sigma Delta Chi. His wife, Jane Dowdall HATCHER, died in 1990. Survivors include three daughters, Janie Vanyo, Phoenix, Ellen HATCHER, Kansas City, and Nancy McMahon, St. Louis; a brother, Paul HATCHER, St. Louis; four grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. ------------------------------------------------------ Researched in 2001 for my personal Hatcher files.
