Chicken Bikerbob, I had to cancel mine once because I was so "chicken". When the doc said do it or you may loose your license, I did it. There weren't nothin to it, really. The waiting to have it done was the worst part of the whole deal. Now I'm thinking of having the other eye done I'm so happy with the new sight in the left eye. You will be so happy when it is done and you say "wow, I can see". If you have no other eye problems, you'll do fine and you'll see better than ever. My surgery (one eye only) took about 15 minutes and involved implanting a "contact lens" after removing the cataract. I have had a slower recovery than normal due to other eye problems unrelated to the cataracts but I do now have my new prescription and my vision is excellent. The other problems that can interfer with that excellent vision are still being worked on. Nothing to sweat, chicken Bob :-) Nel Nel
