Rev. Allen Calkins, church pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery near Elsberry. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2008, at the Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Mrs. Hatcher passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at the Parklane Care and Rehab Center in Wentzville. Born April 9, 1921, in Sligo, she was the daughter of Albert and Daisy Mae Anderson Litty. She was united in marriage on Dec. 11, 1939, in Steeleville, Mo., to William Raymond Hatcher. Hatcher worked several years as a baker for TWA Airlines. She was a member of the Star Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Daisy Litty; two brothers, Floyd Litty and Jake Litty; two sisters, Genny Moody and Millie Carr; one daughter, Mary Sue Ellis who died in 1982 and her beloved husband of 58 years, William Hatcher. Survivors include two daughters, Jeannie Martin and her husband, Ernie, Foristell and Ruthie Miller, O'Fallon; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and five great, great-children. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
