Hatcher, 38, passed away on Aug. 1, 2008 in Katy, Texas. He was born on Nov. 30,1969, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He had an associate degree in mechanical drafting from Rose State College in Oklahoma. Joe worked for T3 Energy in Houston as a design draftsman and was an active member of Second Baptist Church at the Woodway Campus where he was part of Crash Singles Sunday School class. Joe also served six years in the United States Army National Guard in Oklahoma and Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Trosclair Hatcher, maternal grandparents, Joe and Yvonne Trosclair and uncle Pat Trosclair. Joe is survived by his parents Tim and Shirley Hatcher of Goldsboro; brother, Kurt Ebaugh, wife, Shannon and son, Gibson of Naples, Italy; sister, Heike Mills, husband, Todd and sons, Jurek and Nathan of Claysville, Penn.; grandparents, Earl and Elizabeth Hatcher, uncle, Tony Hatcher and wife, Karen, all of Goldsboro; cousin, Christy Hatcher and daughters, Shelby and Katy of Franklin, Ky.; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews in Oklahoma and many special friends in the Houston area. Joe was always helping someone and touched many lives with his countless hours of volunteer work with many charities, including DePelchin Children's Center, Awana and Houston Food Bank. He will be remembered as a true servant of the Lord. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home in Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Joe's memory to DePelchin Children's Center Main Campus, 4950 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77007, phone number (713) 730-2335.
