HATCHER website: http://hatcherfamilyassn.com HALL DNA project: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~nhatcher/hall/HDNAtest.htm "If you can't stand the skeletons, stay out of the closet" - Val D Greenwood Folks, I just ordered a DNA test for a most interesting Hatcher - one of our Uncs whose earliest ancestor came from Kent, Staplehurst, England and whose family settled in NY. He could match our Dorset/Quakers, Wm the Im or (boo-hiss) be a brand new Hatcher family. But I forgot.....he might even match our Iranian Hatcher - British Bob. Wouldn't THAT be a hoot? I'm saying my prayers for a Wm the Im match :-) Nel
Nel, I'm usually a cheerleader for any and all kind of prayers, but in this DNA case I'm thinking that the Minnesota or Quaker lines may get to call "dibs" on this Unc tester's lineage. That hope based on the NY settlement locale, i.e., north of the Mason-Dixon. Don't want to restart a war, but comments?
