He was born in Henry County April 11, 1911, a son of the late Sanders Lee Hatcher and Nettie Gilbert Hatcher, and spent most of his life in Danville where he was employed by Dan River Inc. until his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of Eden Methodist Church. He is survived by seven sisters: Mrs Viola Minter, Mrs Minnie Kirks and Mrs Hellen Crawford of Danville; Mrs Effie Kriger and Mrs Joan Maorio of Beaumont, Tex., Mrs Juanita Amos of Greensboro, N. C. and Mrs Mamie Dewberry of Chatham. The funeral will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Wrenn Yeatts Chapel by the Rev. Kenneth Wilson and the Rev.
