HATCHER website: http://hatcherfamilyassn.com HALL DNA project: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~nhatcher/hall/HDNAtest.htm "If you can't stand the skeletons, stay out of the closet" - Val D Greenwood where I've been hiding, right? Been working hard on two projects........ First, we now have a NEW DNA match to our Quaker/Dorset Hatchers. And his family is from Newfoundland!! I've now got this family added to the Quaker file, all 375 of them. One point of interest is that this family also has a connection to the Kendle/Kendall family who have early connections to our MN Hatchers from Dorset. Is that a clue?? I hope so! I've posted msgs to the Newfoundland Genforum board and also our Hatcher board explaining what we've got and asking for more testers. Any of you who would like to track down some of the male Hatchers researching the Newfies, begging them to test.......you have my blessing!! Go fer it :-) Also! I'm working hard on TX Death certs and am filling in a tremendous amount of new data. I'm on page 15 of 43, 10 to a page....so still a long way to go. In addition to the usual data - exact birth/death dates, places and burial info - I'm filling in a large number of maiden names for wives/mothers AND if the wife also died in TX (quite a few did so), I'm also picking up the names of their parents. Many of those I'm finding came out of KY and TN which is where many are last found on our file. Finding them in TX will hopefully open up some new paths of research for some of you. If any of you have a KY-TN brick wall, give me a holler and I'll see if they're in TX...... Cheers, Nel
