Much progress made today! Earlier this morning I sent a msg to Darrin, author of TNG, detailing our problems with our site and with DH in general, and he feels the TNG software is not the problem and that he saw no reason why I shouldn't proceed with a transfer to SH. So I did. I put in my order with SimplyHosting this morning and got home from Rapid to find many msgs from SH. Without going into mindless detail, things have been progressing smoothly and rapidly. I am already doing the basic setup at our new home that will allow our site to function. SH states that it usually takes 5-10 business days to complete the transfer but it really looks like they're giving the worst case scenario. At least I hope so! So far I'm quite impressed and hope this continues to go easy. The only thing that concerns me, for I'm not sure what it means yet, is that SH states they have not yet rec'd approval for the transfer from DH. Knowing how slow DH can be.................aaarrgghh :-( In the meantime our old site is still critically ill and I expect to give it a decent burial soonly - like, about 5 minutes after our new site is up and running. Tomorrow we will be in Rapid from noon to noon Thursday. Hoping I get a lot more done before we leave....... And dat's my status report for tonite. Keep reading that good book!! Nel
