But the fact that we're exceeding our RAM allotment (and thanks to Carroll for bringing it up) is an issue of much concern to me. I do not know how much we've been "allotted." I cannot find anything on my DH Account screen that discusses RAM or an allotment. I do not know exactly "what" fills up our RAM bucket. I do not know if it's been filling up slowly and normally over the past year and just naturally hit it's limit OR if it started to fill up suddenly and rapidly with "something" whose source and cause are unknown to me. Is it caused by something I am or am not doing with the TNG software? In short, when we move to another server, what is to prevent this same thing from happening again? It is the WHY that concerns me. Carroll suggested getting more RAM but with DH (who suggested this), that means going to a private server at BIG $$/month and still doesn't tell me whether I'm experiencing a "normal" situation or a freaky situation that will happen again. Anyone know how to explain the RAM situation and what goes in there? Nel

    3. Nel, Are you sure that our site is exceeding our RAM allotment or did the techies mean that we are using over the alloted amount of space usually it is so many Megabyes. I know our church website is alloted 500 Megs of space. RAM memory is what our computer uses to operate and has nothing to do with the website. RAM stands for Random Access Memory. The more RAM memory your computer has the more programs one can run and open up. This whole problem sounds like a settings issue of some kind to me. That's what happens on our church website, if a letter or number gets misplaced in the link that takes you to a certain page, it won't open up for nothing. What makes me think it is a settings issue is because I was able to open up the top 4 or 5 links over on the left of the Home page especially the links having to do with DNA testing w/o any problems. Good luck with this. I know it has to be super frustrating to you. I think Alan checked our usage a while ago and said we're nowhere near having any problems with space. Nel
