Hatcher, 81 Hazel Wall Hatcher, 81, of Hawkins Road near Selma died Monday, July 14. Born Dec. 4, 1926, in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late A.T. and Myrtle Barbour Wall. The funeral will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S. Pollock St., Selma. The family will receive friends after the service. Entombment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, in Selma Memorial Gardens. Surviving are her husband, Roland Rudolph Hatcher; a daughter, Linda Wood of Selma; a brother, Milburn Wall of Selma; four sisters, Edna Jones of Virginia Beach, Va., Edith Sain and Helen Hedrick, both of Hickory, and Peggy Earp of Selma; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, N.Y. 10016; or to the Alzheimer's Association of North Carolina, 400 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, N.C. 27605.
