Funeral services will at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at graveside in Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church. Rev. A. C. Gilliard will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Clark Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Ms. Johnnie West, Myron Jones, Tim Bracewell, Greg Cumbie, Lynn Taylor, and Al Lewis. Ms. Alred was born in Cairo, Georgia on October 18, 1953 to Thomas Hatcher and Bobbie Johnson Hatcher. She was the Clerk of Superior Court in Grady County, Georgia. She worked as deputy clerk under Leland Harrison from 1972 until she took office on January 1, 1985. She was a member of the Cairo Rotary Club and a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include: her parents, Thomas and Bobbie Hatcher of Cairo, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Stanley Blackmon of Cairo, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Deborah Hatcher of Cairo, GA, Virgil Hatcher of Cairo, GA, Wesley and Dianna Hatcher of Cairo, GA; nephew and nieces, Casey and Stacey Blackmon of Cookeville, TN, Kyle and Krystal Hatcher of Cairo, GA, Derek Hatcher of Cairo, GA; great-nephew, Ty Hatcher of Cairo, GA.
