She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories nine children, Vivian (Clayton Rogers), Luella (Jerry Janes), Ivy Laing, Eric (Carmel), Nancy (Hollis Howell), Russell (Judy), George (Daphne), Karen (Donnie Brockway) and Gregory (Jennifer); ten grandchildren: Mark, Michael, Casey, Hilary, Kaylee, Melinda, Megan, Michelle, Daniel and Jessica; her brothers: Joseph, Terrance, Edmund (Freda), William (Bev), Gerald (Joan), Clayton (Cynthia), George (Ruth); sisters: Evelyn (Alan Brough), Elaine (Willis Major), Ivy (Terrance Welsh); sisters-in-law: Mary Hatcher, Vera Hatcher, Alma Reid and Luella Hale. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Russell Laing, parents Georgina & George Hatcher, brothers, Wayne, Lionel and niece Jennifer, brothers-in-law Roland Goosney, George Moore Gough, Stanley Reid! , Phil Reid, Phonse Hale, Edward Maynard, Harvey, Jack and Edward Laing. Sisters-in-law Mary Gillard, Maxine Hatcher, Mary Maynard, Violet Reid, Rita Laing, Julia & Amelia Laing and Leona Young. Visitation will take place from The Church of the Good Shepherd in Norris Point today, Friday where also funeral service will take place on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. with Canon Olsson officiating.
