Db 2, page 132, deed date 3 Jan 1774, recorded Oct Ct 1774, Lemuel Sugg, Edge. Co to Samuel Handberry, planter, county aforesaid for 80 pds proc money (150) acres being part of a tract granted to William Hatcher in (July 1739) on the south side of Tyan Cokey Swamp beginning at (red oak) in the said swamp then along a line of marked trees to the great branch (to a pine) then along the upper prong of the said branch to a gum in the head line then along the head line (south 65 poles) to a corner hickory then north 10 east 240 poles to a hickory in the said swamp then up the said branch to the first station, signed Lemuel Sugg, wit Noah Sugg, (Richard Grubbs).
