    3. HATCHER website: http://hatcherfamilyassn.com HALL DNA project: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~nhatcher/hall/HDNAtest.htm "If you can't stand the skeletons, stay out of the closet" - Val D Greenwood Martha and all, Martha asked in a private email how I knew who had submitted the obits and if I subbed to the KYGREEN email list (from whence they came). No, I'm subbed to none of the RW email lists for a very important reason - I don't have to. Many years ago, I donated $50 ($25/yr) to Rootsweb when they were relying only on contributions to keep them going. Obviously this wasn't enough when they had to merge with ancestry. But one of the perks I got for my lousy little donation was what is called the Personal Messenger Lists. This means that ANY time the word Hatcher is found in any RW email msg or the Message Boards, the msg will be forwarded to me. This includes all surname, all state, all county lists, any of the over 14000 email lists or boards on the RW servers. So I had rec'd both of those obits earlier and already had the info online when Martha sent them to our list. I already knew the dates were bad. These obits came from the Msg Boards and the URL for that msg was included. I went to the msg submitted by Karen Jorgensen and simply replied to her msg asking for a clarification on the "dates." I have not heard back yet. This service has been astoundingly valuable when you consider that it would be impossible to attempt to monitor each and every one of these lists to find the very valuable info they often contain. A goodly percentage of the data on our files has come from my PML service. Nel

    3. Wow! That is an awesome capability, Nel, and I know it has been a blessing to you and the list. I know now that I need not forward anything found on other lists re "Hatcher"! Thanks for explaining this to us. I was getting inordinately impressed with your "Hatcher snoopabilities".
