HATCHER website: http://hatcherfamilyassn.com HALL DNA project: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~nhatcher/hall/HDNAtest.htm "One of the tragedies of life is the murder of a beautiful theory by a brutal gang of facts" - La Rochefoucauld Paul, I think I understand what you're saying about a spouse's name on a dbl tombstone with only a birth date. One of them died and the other is still living. But in this case "Elizabeth" supposedly died in 1855, long before Abel died, and it should be she who has both birth and death dates on the stone. Again, I have to say I don't exactly know how or why some of these memorials are set up. I've seen some with both birth and death dates "unknown." Some have death date "unknown." Others have birth date "unknown." And this situation does not necessarily mean illegible dates since I've seen tombstone pics added later with very clear dates. At this point, I have no idea if Elizabeth is really buried there or what her dates may be. I'll have to see what comes back from the FAG volunteer. Nel
