One of the major problems is that "Elizabeth" buried in Rushsylvania has a birth date of 2-22-1838 but no death date, according to FAG. At the same time the DC for Phoebe Elizabeth Patrick Hatcher has a birth date of 2-21-1838 calced from yrs, mos, days of her age. Just one day apart? Sorry but that is a major big red flag for me!!! I'm also not all that sure that there were 4 other kids. I know there was Lydia and Casper bn 1854 and 1855. But Harry M hasn't been proven to belong in this family. Have also asked for his tombstone pic. Fred M was definitely found with Abel and Phoebe as a 2 yr old in the 1880 and his ML listed his parents as Abel and Phoebe. BUT! This child was born 23 yrs after Casper was born and is another big red flag. My bet is that Fred was a gson and possibly Lydia's kid. Tangled webs...........! Nel
Hey Gang I have been to the Rushsylvania cemetery, Logan county, Ohio, almost 40 years ago and recorded the names and dates. It definitly not uncommon to have the spouses name inscribed on the stone. After she was paying for it.
