Just came across this, in Greg Vanover's The Vanover Family, p 128 -- can't imagine it will be of use to anyone, but thought I should pass it along: "Missouri Swindall [daughter of Ruth Vanover and James Swindall of Dickenson County, Virginia], born 1879 in Wise County, Virginia; went to the Pikeville, Kentucky, with her boyfriend who was a hatcher from Kentucky.  He returned to Virginia and told her family while he walked the floor and cried that Missouri had died and he had buried her."
