    1. [HATCHER] another Rucker Cemetery Destroyed
    2. RUCKER CEMETERY (DESTROYED) OH-34: NASHVILLE, DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN. E. Ashland Drive According to family descendants, the Rucker Cemetery was destroyed by developers in the early 1960's. Fifteen or twenty tombstones were removed from the cemetery and carted away. The graves remained on the site. Family members reported the location of the cemetery site to government authorities and today the cemetery is marked on the Metro Planning Commission property map. In January, 2004, descendants were identified and asked to send to the Davidson County Cemetery Survey project the names of those known to have been buried in the cemetery. Persons with additional information about the Rucker Cemetery are asked to return to the Home Page, click-on "Report A Cemetery" and send an email. DavidsonCo is adjacent to Williamson but those boundaries didn't change for years so I'm not seeing a boundary movement here. I do suspect this cemetery has a name other than Rucker. It's just figuring out what it is. Nel

    3. Could be a mix up. Here's the map of E. Ashland Drive, which the web site says the cemetery is located on. It's only a few miles north of Williamson county. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=E.+Ashland+Drive,+Nashville,+Tn&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=40.86791,93.076172&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=E+Ashland+Dr,+Nashville,+Davidson,+Tennessee+37215&ll=36.066064,-86.832376&spn=0.010216,0.022724&t=h&z=16 On Tue, Dec 29, 2009 at 7:47 PM, nelhatch <[email protected]> wrote: > > > I do suspect this cemetery has a name other than Rucker. Those buried in this Rucker cem are Wm Hatcher/Lucy Rucker and their descendants. If anyone is familiar with this family, take a look at http://hatcherfamilyassn.com/placesearch.php?psearch=Rucker+Cemetery%2C+Old+Arno-Bethesda+Rd%2C+WilliamsonCo%2C+TN If you recognize anyone buried here but know them to be buried in a cemetery with a different name, that may be the name we're looking for.
