Hello everyone, A few months ago, Nel sent out an email about a new book that is available from Heritage Papers called "The Bondurants of America - Ann Tanner's Ancestors". I highly recommend this book for people researching ancestors of William Hatcher (d. 1680) the immigrant. Don't be fooled by the title of the book, the majority of the information presented is about William Hatcher. The author details William's involvement in the House of Burgesses, representing Henrico Co., and his involvement in Bacon's Rebellion. There are numerous maps detailing William's land holdings, including contemporary maps pinpointing the locations. The last chapter takes the reader on a driving tour through Virginia with directions to see "Hatcher" landmarks as they are today. The book is available for purchase on the Heritage Papers website, http://www.heritagepapers.us . I definitely enjoyed reading the book. It was well worth the money. Take care, Dan Rolph
Thank you for sharing that information, Daniel. I have ordered my copy! Thank you Dan, I was unable to find the book using Nel's link but your link lead me right to it. I ordered it today as I am a descendant of William the Immigrant Hatcher. And I wanted to learn more about his involvement with Bacon. Barb Weed Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...
