    3. Hi, I am not sure when the US series began (is this a brand new program there?) but this show has aired here in Ireland/UK on the BBC for several years. They even publish a magazine! I once heard a radio interview with a "celebrity" (whose name I cannot remember) who claimed that their spot was dropped when nothing very interesting turned up. The episodes I have seen have not been notably sensational in content. The family histories are fairly "normal"..... but it is interesting to see how emotional these celebs become. Some of them knew absolutely nothing about their origins before they became involved with the show. There was an interview printed in the London Times (maybe 2 years ago?) with the series researchers/genealogists....if I remember correctly, it stated that "ordinary" people could have the same experience as the celebrities on the show for only L50,000. Good Grief! Anyway, the US version should be fun. Maybe they will air it here. Best, Cynthia

    3. Hi All, I think the Hatchers would have an expansive and huge show based on everything we've learned on this thread, and our individual family histories. :) -Joseph Hatcher (SF Bay Area, from East TN) On Tue, Feb 16, 2010 at 12:19 PM, Cynthia Benua <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi, > > > > I am not sure when the US series began (is this a brand new program there?) but this show has aired here in Ireland/UK on the BBC for several years. > > > > Best, > > Cynthia > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
