I'm searching the history of the William HARVEY family who immigrated to the Winnebago Co, IL, area from Canada in about 1839. William was born in Pennsylvania in 1797, but I don't know the story of how he ended up in Canada. I believe he was a widower who came to Winnebago County with his four children. I am descended from the oldest son, Josiah, who married Margaret CRUMP, also from Canada. It isn't know if they knew each other in Canada, or met after they settled in IL.
