Looking for information on Thomas Harvey of Albemarle County. According to Surveyor's Book 1 for Albemarle County 400 acres of land was surveyed for him in 1745 along Mountain Creek and Glover's Road. Does anyone know where these were (are)? I also show a Thomas Harvey marrying Betsey Seay on October 10, 1795. I assume this is not the same Thomas Harvey, but possibly a son. Does anyone know anything about these Harvey's, where they live, where they were from, children, etc.? I also noted on the page of surveys that 4 of the 5 recorded showed 400 acres plots, with the acreage in a symmetrical rectangle. Was there something special about 400 acres in these surveys?
