I have been intrigued by the Harvey connections and information on individuals since I joined the Harvey list. My particular search is for the parents of Mark Albert HARVEY, my 2G Grandfather who was born in GA, but lived and died in TX. Was a Private in the Terry's Texas Rangers, 8th Cav C.S.A.; 7 Sept 1861, Houston, Texas; Co.B, Captain John A. Wharton R & F 169; Promoted to Gen Martin's Staff in 1862; (information from John M. Clairborne for Galveston Reunion, 20 Feb 1882) Confederate File Gen. 929.2 K574. Harvey - Land Office Roll General Muster Roll #89 - 31 He married Georgia Ann MARTIN, daughter of William Archibald MARTIN & Julia Ann MALONE, 27 May 1871 in San Marcos, Texas. Born 7 Apr 1847 in Carroll Co., Georgia. Died 15 Mar 1935 in Wye (Stonewall), Gillespie Co, Texas. Buried 1935 in LBJ Cemetery, Hye, Texas. They had the following child. No information on other children. 2 i. Albert Manley HARVEY 2. Albert Manley HARVEY. Born 31 Jul 1880 in Llano, Llano County, Texas. Died 6 Mar 1951 in Austin, Texas. Buried 6 Mar 1951 in Memorial Pk Cem, Austin, Texas. He married Cora Lee LUCKEY, daughter of Manley Alexander LUCKEY & Melissa Helen KINCHELOE, 28 Jun 1901 in Harper, Texas. Born 6 May 1882 in Blufton, Llano County, Texas. Died 20 Nov 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Buried Nov 1946 in Memorial Park, Tulsa, Oklahoma. They had the following children: 3 i.
