Ruth, The main problem I see with this is the same with other archived lists: my email gets bombarded with junk mail from unscrupulous bulk-mailers - just like your snailmail-box. Otherwise, closing it with a password does defeat the purpose but it would be better if Marc also has a system to sort out junk mail posted to mail-list members altho I realize that's probably a tall order.
