My HARVEY line begins with J.M. HARVEY born about 1842 in Alabama. His father was born in Georgia and his mother was born in South Carolina. His wife was M.J. HARVEY, born about 1843. Her parents were both born in Alabama. I believe the M initial in his wife's name stood for Martha. J.M. HARVEY and his wife M.J. moved to Texas in about 1870, I think. The above information is from Census records. The 1870 Alabama census lists their oldest son Johnathan as being born in Alabama. The 1880 Texas Census for Wood County lists Johnathan as being born inTexas. I don't know which is correct. White Female 37 Married Keeps House born Alabama HARVY, Johnathan White Male 10 works on farm/attends school -born Texas HARVY, Leonadas White Male 8 works on farm/attends school b-Texas HARVY, Willie F. White Female 5 born Texas HARVY, Mary Parolee White Female 3 born Texas HARVY, C. D. White Female 1 born Texas I know that they had a least one more child, a daughter named Susannah. I received an E-Mail from someone with access to FTM marraige index for AL. They found a John M. Harvey married to Martha E. MORGAN in Dec. 10, 1868 in Clarke Co. AL. They thought that the initials in the census records could be wrong and that J. M. Harveys wife might be this Martha E. MORGAN listed in the FTM marraige index for AL. I don't have any furthur information on the ancestors of J.M. HARVEY or his wife. I do have a list of the decendants of Mary Parolee Harvey and some of Susannah's offspring. These two sisters married two CLANTON brothers who were sons of Daniel Henry CLANTON. If you can link this to your HARVEY's or know where I can find more please let me know.
