Two sons of Nathaniel Bell Harvey, Alexander (b. 1846, Hampshire Co, VA) and Jesse Eusephus (b. 1849, Garrett Co, MD), were in Cowley Co, KS by 1882. Jesse had previously married Sarah Savage in MD, and had daughter Alberta Maude Harvey (who married Albert Thomas Shockley). He later married Jessie Louella Stewart in KS and had 4 more children. What happened to first wife? Did she die, or did they divorce. Alexander was my great grandfather. I am trying to find out when they left MD, and where they were in between 1873 and 1882. Alexander went to work for Drury Warren in Cowley Co, KS, before 1883, when he married Drury's daughter Amanda, who was 16 (he was 37). Was he previously married? The family is well documented in Garrett County, but nothing was known about what happened to Alexander and Jesse by the family currently left there. I would like to fill in the blanks.
