As I recall, someone out there was looking for a Lemuel Harvey? I ran across this from some research notes sent to in 1994 by a researcher named V. Gay from written in 1977 -- sorry no other sources, but hope it helps. "Wm Harvey (Rev) b. 1749 Orange Co, VA lived in Rowan, Wilkes & Surrey Co's NC before locating in Roane Co, TN. Had wife Lenah Gentry & children LEMEUEL, Jonathan, Thomas, Wm (m. 1808 Rhoda Richards), Robert (m. 1814 Sarah Richards, Marmaduke, Polly, Lucy (m 1815 Wm. Dixon), Sarah (m 1817 Alexander Forrester). Dec. of Wm & Rhoda Richards Harvey settled Pike Co, Indiana" It seems strange, the only other time I've seen the name "Marmaduke" related to a Harvey family was family or children of Major Benjamin Harvey from the line of Governor Thomas Harvey of NC -- Does anyone know if there is a connection between them and the Harvey's of Orange Co, VA?
