Hello Linda; The second name of Riley intrigues me. While researching my HARVEY line in MA, NY, NH, VT I ran into a first-name Riley right out of the blue. He is supposedly my 1st cousin 4 times removed. I am curious as to where/how the name Riley originated for these HARVEY folks as it had not occurred at any time before to the best of my knowledge. I don't have anything specific to your William Riley HARVEY but I have encountered : Riley HARVEY b. 1805 VT d. 1860 VT m. 1828 Amanda ABBOTT B. 1808 VT d 1856 VT. They had two sons I am aware of : George HARVEY b. abt 1830 and Napoleon HARVEY b abt 1843 VT. Napoleon HARVEY had a son named George Riley HARVEY b. 1863 VT.
