Syd was born on September 30, 1906 in Olds, Alt. He worked at Cominco for 25 years and retired in 1971. His hobbies were birds and gardening. Syd is survived by two daughters, Corine Halladay of Salmo, Yvonne (Ritchie) Johnson of Castlegar, and one son, Norman (Pearl) Harvey of Innisfail, Alta; two granddaughters, four grandsons, and two great-granddaughters. He was predeceased by his wife, Vera, in 1976, one granddaughter, and one grandson. Cremation to be handled by Carberry's Funeral Home of Trail. No memorial by request.
