Published in 1979. Hardcover. John Edward Harvey was born in Denver, Colorado in 1924. He enlisted in the Navy during World War II and worked in Washington, D. C. where he met his future wife, Lois Gerstenberger. They were married in 1956 in California. They had four children. Johns ancestor, Washington Harvey, was born in 1805 in Mason County, Kentucky. In 1856 he and his family moved to Marion County, Iowa. He died there in 1882. The earliest known Gerstenberger is Franz, who was born in Germany in 1828. He was married in Dubuque, Iowa in 1857 to Teresia Ernst. He died in Buchanan County, Iowa in 1898.
