I just received 60 pages about the homestead of my GGF, from NARA. I used NAFTA form #84 and it was returned in about 3 weeks and cost me $10. Much of the material was duplicated. It contained 3 witnesses description of the land and the improvements made. Detailed the crops and house, named outbuildings, told how many children there were, where and when he was born and more. Very interesting reading. This is one of the items the NARA is thinking of raising its rates on. To order the forms, you may go to their website at http://www.nara.gov and follow links, or you may write them e-mail. Send a message to "inquire@nara.gov" with your name and address, e-mail address, the form number and the amount of them you want. They will mail them to you and you will follow the instructions on the form, sending credit card info for fastest results.
