Ok, if you know your HARVEY ancestors first name, you are counted among the lucky ones. I am still searching for my ggg grandfather, ?? HARVEY, who married a lady whose first name was Pheobe/Phebe. Phebe was a widow by 1840, she later md. Samuel DAVIS and later md. John GARDNER. She died after 1870 in Meigs Co., TN. I am curious about an ALLEN HARVEY who was living in McMinn Co., TN in 1830. He signed a marriage bond in Rhea Co. (later became Meigs Co.) in 1831. Interesting but no proof. They had 3 (known) children: Melvina b. ca 1820, who married Calvin MANTOOTH in Meigs Co. Tn in 1844. They lived in Polk Co., TN Elizabeth born in 1824, who married William GRIFFIN in Meigs Co., TN in 1843. They lived in Polk Co., MO, after 1849. This is my line. William H. born ca 1827, who married (1) Sarah Dethrage in Meigs Co., TN in 1846, and (2) Rebecca C. Griffin (ith), in Polk Co., MO in 1857.
