John Harvey Brown m. Henrietta Cochran in Marionville, MO (Larwence County) in 1895. He is supposed to be named after Fred Harvey and they were supposed to have lived acrossed the street from Fred Harvey when he lived out in the midwest, but, I have found information indicating Fred Harvey most likely wasn't in the mid-west at the time my grandfather was born (1875). In Marionville, at about that time my John Harvey Brown was there, lived William Harvey Brown who I can't find any connection to. Both of my uncles had Harvey for a middle name. My grandfather said he had a life time ticket to the Harvey houses and no matter where he was he knew he wouldn't starve if he could get to a Harvey house. This sounds like family myth but, where there is smoke there is fire. Can anyone help me ? I would like to be able to move on!
