Hi DoraLee, Thanks for joining the list and thanks for giving your ancestry. John W. Harvey and Jane Elliott are my gr-gr-gr-grandparents. Their daughter, Eliza married my gr-gr-grandfather Alfred Stout. It seems that my Eliza Harvey and your William Harvey b. 1817 are siblings. Eliza was born in 1814 and married Alfred Stout in 1833 in Washington County, TN. She is my first connection with the Harvey family. Although I have not done a great deal of research on this family I am keenly interested. I understand that a John Harvey was a governor of Virginia in the 1600's. I am interested in finding out if our John W. Harvey is connected to him in any way. I am interested in further correspondance with you.
