John "Newt" Harvey, former sheriff of Hamilton County, and his sister Sue Pierson, both are grandchildren of Joel Jasper Harvey, were involved in a tragic auto accident, as told below. John Newt has passed away and Susie is in critical condition. Further, John, Susie, Tommie, and Goldie, all lost their sister in a auto accident several years ago. So this is truly terrible for them and my heart goes out to them. I plan on contacting the hospital tomorrow and get in touch with Goldie and Tommie. I truly regret to hear this news and hope each of you will contact the family. I will keep you apprised of any information that I find, if you wish. ----- Original Message ----- From: <DELANEYSATHOME@gateway.net> To: <jimbrose@netzero.net>; <wsharvey@prodigy.net> Sent: Wednesday, September 19, 2001 8:48 PM Subject: Sad news > Yesterday my Aunt Sue Pierson and Uncle John Harvey attended a funeral in > Colorado City, Texas.
